Facts/Trivia
- Deshmukh was just 15 years old when the shooting of the film Kai Po Che was completed in 2012 and he had promised Sushant Singh that he would not meet him until Singh became a good cricketer. However, in June 2020, the actor was found dead at home under suspicious circumstances, which he regretted. Talking about the incident, he said,
He loves cricket. On the last day of the shoot, I promised him that I would not meet him until I became a decent cricketer. This year, when I was selected to play for Mumbai Indians, I decided to meet him but then the lockdown happened and now he is no longer with us. I wish there was no lockdown, at least then I would have been able to fulfil my promise to him. I was not able to do that. I wanted to keep my promise. I regret it.”
- After his role in Kai Po Che, Digvijay was approached by several companies to act in television commercials; however, he turned down all the offers as he wanted to focus only on cricket.
