Dilip Joshi is an Indian actor and theater artist. He is known for his role as Jethalal Champaklal Gada in SAB TV’s Hindi sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (2008).

Dilip Joshi was born on Wednesday, 26 May 1965, in Bhuleshwar, South Mumbai (age 58; as of 2023). According to various media reports, his date of birth is May 26, 1968. He hails from Gosa village in Porbandar, Gujarat. His zodiac sign is Gemini. He attended St. Sebastian’s Goan High School in Mumbai till class ten. He completed his 11th class science from Wilson College, Mumbai. However, he failed in class 12th. Later, he changed his direction from science to commerce and completed his 12th class from Hinduja Business College, Mumbai. Later, he received his bachelor’s degree in computer applications from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.

He started his career as a children’s theater artist with the children’s play Aie Ranchhod Rangila. At the age of 12, he started performing with the troupe of South Devlahut Little Theater Academy. Later, he appeared in many Gujarati dramas such as Bapu Tame Kamaal Kari and Jalsa Karo Jayantilal (along with Disha Vakani). He also performed at Prithvi Theater in Mumbai.
