Divita Rai started her career as an architect after completing her graduation in architecture in Mumbai. She participated in the Femina Miss India beauty pageant in 2018 and emerged as the second runner-up.

- According to Divita Rai, she is involved in a mission to promote children’s education through the Children’s Help Foundation, a nonprofit organization. According to her, her father is her role model in life. She said at a media conference that her father’s family’s economic conditions were not good; however, her father chose education as a tool to overcome the family’s disadvantaged situation. Her father’s struggle inspired her to work on behalf of children who are deprived of this basic need. Divita Rai said she believes that any goal in life can be achieved through education.
