According to reports, Divya Sridhar and Arnav met in 2017 on the sets of Keladi Kanmani TV show. At the time, Divya was divorced and had a one-year-old daughter. Arnav mentioned that he had been married before, but his wife had died and his siblings lived abroad. He said he was looking for new partners. Divya and Arnav were friends at first but fell in love and decided to live together. During their five-year relationship, they bought a flat in Vanagaram. Divya used her jewelry and savings to help buy the apartment. Afterwards, both planned to get married. Arnav asked Divya to change his Muslim community and they held a private Islamic wedding in 2022. Arnav became close to co-star Anshitha Akbarsha while shooting for the Chellamma TV show in 2022. Arnav asked the Madras High Court to quash the case, but the court refused as there was evidence of injuries on Divya’s body. Divya claimed that Arnav defrauded her of Rs 36 lakh, cash and gold jewellery. She claimed he had behaved this way with other women before. Divya even said that Arnav cheated a man by pretending to be gay and married a transgender man in Malaysia for money. She also said he hurt her while she was pregnant. Divya posted the evidence on social media. Arnav denied everything and defended himself saying that Divya tried to abort their child. Their daughter was born on April 7, 2023, and Arnav reportedly did not visit them.
