An influencer just made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week!

dr. Qin Huilan just walked the Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2024 fashion show on Tuesday. The 70-year-old wore a long gray coat with silver trim, a pair of oversized metallic gloves, a black scarf, a small brown leather bag and a pair of pointed-toe Mary Janes.

The Shanghai influencer, known for her admiration for Miu Miu and Prada, was invited by the fashion house via direct message on Instagram to walk in this week’s show. She explained in her Instagram post on Tuesday that “it only took a few days” from the first “private message” to the official invitation letter.

Huilan had plenty of eyes on her as she walked the runway, as the fashion house had a stacked front row that included Joey King, Camille Row, Sydney Sweeney and Ava DuVernay. But she walked like a professional and put her love for home in the foreground.

dr. Huilan started her Instagram account thanks to her son for helping her register on the social media site and then later teaching her “how to post and interact on it.”

“It seems that I have opened the door to a new world,” said the influencer. She went on to thank followers from all over the world. “Friends from all over the world left me comments and likes. They appreciate my clothes and leave me messages. Some outfits forward my pictures, hoping that more people can see me,” the influencer added.

Huilan also thanked “all the team members for giving her “the opportunity to challenge herself”, along with “every stranger in Paris who smiled… and cheered” her on.

The Shanghai doctor then explained how the process developed after the initial communication.

“I was able to tackle the challenge of prep work in a busy schedule, using Google Translate to overcome the language barrier,” Huilan wrote. “I did something to prove that age is not a problem!”

She also used this opportunity to inspire others and “encourage everyone who is confused at a certain moment to never give up on their dreams!”

“Before the age of 70, I only took care of my patients as a doctor,” she admitted. “Who would have thought that at the age of 70 I would be standing here on the runway today?”

“Come! Appearance! This is Paris! Appearance! This is Miumiu’s runway! Appearance! This is 70-year-old Qin,” the doctor concluded.
