Dolly Parton loves Christmas music!
“Well, you know I love all the Christmas songs,” the country legend, 78, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I love the fast ones, I love the slow ones.”
“I love ‘Silent Night’ and ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem,’ but then I love ‘Rudolph’ and all that fun stuff,” she continues. “I just love it all.”

Parton admits that the way people listen to music has changed over the years, and she herself has embraced using technology to make playing her favorite songs easier than ever.
“We all have either Alexa or Siri or something,” she says. “I always yell, ‘Alexa, play holiday music for 12 hours in my house’ or something, and I just love it all.”
Parton released her first holiday album, Once at Christmas, along with Kenny Rogers in 1984.
She followed in 1990 with her solo collection of festive songs entitled Home for Christmasbut fans then had to wait 30 years for the next holiday album, Holly Dolly Christmaswhich featured classics including “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” and “Mary, Did You Know?”
Over the years, Parton has also released several Christmas songs for original movies, such as Christmas at Dollywood for the Hallmark Channel and Christmas in the Square Dolly Parton for Netflix.

Parton’s love for the annual vacation is no surprise that she announced Billy the Kid is coming home for Christmas before December 25.
The children’s book is a sequel to her 2023 book Billy the Kid succeeds.

In 1995, Parton founded Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which sends free books every month to children from birth to age five, regardless of their household income.
