Dolly Parton Teams Up with Måneskin for Rock Version of ‘Jolene’ — Listen!

Dolly Parton gives “Jolene” a rock ‘n’ roll twist.

On Sunday, the country icon, 77, revealed she will be sharing an extended version of her new album Rock starwhich was published on November 17.

In an Instagram post, Parton announced a pair of bonus tracks for her latest LP.

“Surprise! Did you all think I was done?” she jokingly said in the title of the post alongside a photo of the singer in an all-black leather dress on a motorcycle. “Giving you not ONE but TWO more ‘Rockstar’ bonus tracks. Download “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Jolene” (feat. @maneskinofficial) now exclusively on my website ⚡.”

The “Coat of Many Colors” singer joined forces with Måneskin for a grittier rendition of her 1973 classic “Jolene” and a cover of Eddie Money’s 1977 “Two Tickets to Paradise.”

The two songs are only available if you purchase the “exclusive download version”. Rock star via the Grammy Award-winning artist’s website.

While the full version is only available there, Parton shares a clip of a new performance of “Jolene” and footage of her and Måneskin working in the studio on social networks.

The clip still has the sound of the original version, but the Italian glam rockers add a more theatrical touch to the chorus.

On Friday, Parton shared her long-awaited rock-inspired album Rock star, which she released in part because she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The huge 30-song project is full of both originals and covers of rock classics. For the project, she enlisted Lizzo and her flute — known among fans and billed as Sasha Flute — for a nearly eight-minute cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven.” To close out the record, she and Lynyrd Skynyrd teamed up on their classic “Free Bird.”

Also shown on Rock star are fellow legends such as Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John, Joan Jett, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Brandi Carlile.

Last year, Parton spoke with PEOPLE before her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame about her vision for the rock project — which she then officially announced in May of this year.

“I’m going to have to live up to it if I want to be in the Hall of Fame,” she said at the time, “so I’m going to go ahead and make a rock ‘n’ roll album, and I’m going to get people from the rock ‘n’ roll field to sing with me . . . I’m actually going to pull some of the greats and make a lot of great rock songs.”

Parton also said she plans to make Rock star with her husband Carl Thomas Dean in mind. “I’m doing a rock ‘n’ roll album because of him,” she added. “I’ve often thought about making a rock ‘n’ roll album for him with his favorite songs. And when all this happened, I decided I was going to do it. … It was the perfect storm. OK, it’s time.”
