In 2015, while pursuing her Master’s degree, she started her own fashion blog, Spill The Sass. She posts pictures, cheap styling videos, various clothing tips, accessories, clothing shopping videos, etc. on various social media platforms, leading new fashion trends. On April 17, 2016, she started her own YouTube channel.

As part of her graduation project, Dolly Singh interned at iDiva, an online portal for women that offers a lot of women-centric content. After the internship, iDiva offered her a job as a content writer. At the time, Facebook had signed a contract with iDiva to produce videos. Since the company was short of actors, all the employees of iDiva were involved in multiple jobs. Dolly started out as a producer and writer, but she eventually became an actor.   • Dolly was born into a poor family and had a difficult childhood. She posted on Instagram that she lived in a small house in Nainital and could hardly afford any toys. During the day, her parents worked at the gift shop Apna Baazar, while she stayed at home to take care of her younger brother. In 2019, she uploaded a video on her YouTube channel “My Real House Tour” showing her parents’ house in Nainital. The video was shot purely raw and without any editing, and was loved by fans for showing the real thing.
  • During her school days, Dolly Singh was bullied for her thin figure and dark complexion. In a YouTube video, the fashion blogger admitted that her classmates would call her “kaali ladki”, “Sukhi Dandi” or “bag of bones”. She was not only humiliated by her classmates, but also by her teachers for not belonging to the upper class. In an interview, she narrated an incident where she was barred from a farewell party and sent home, simply because her outfit did not meet the dress code of the party.
