Dragalia Lost’s Tier List: Best Adventurers Explained

Dragalia Lost is one of the best free-to-play RPGs out there. The popular mobile game from Nintendo is developed by Cygames and has a massive roster of playable characters. These adventurers, as they’re known in-game, all correspond to one of five Elements. But with so many adventurers to keep track of, it may be difficult for players to know which ones are actually the best. Thankfully, there are a few great adventurers that just about everyone can agree on.

As an original IP, Dragalia Lost quickly became the second biggest mobile game from Nintendo. The action RPG’s biggest draw is allowing players to fight enemies as human adventurers alongside dragons. Because the list of adventurers is so massive, it may be overwhelming to keep up with who’s who. That’s why tier lists continue popping up online, to try to give players an idea of which adventurers are really the best.

Like most other tier lists out there, adventurers in Dragalia Lost are generally ranked in ascending order from D-tier to S-tier. Most S-tier adventurers are 5-star characters, which means they’re rare, but quite a few 4-star characters frequent fans’ S-tier lists as well.

While Dragalia Lost‘s tier rankings differ from site to site (and even player to player), there are a few characters that just about anyone can agree are best. Fire Emblem‘s Marth is probably the best fighter in the game who uses the Flame Element. Gala Elisanne isn’t just the best version of Elisanne, but she’s also one of the best adventurers in the game. Mitsuhide, the head of the Mouse Clan, is another character frequently ranked S-tier who uses the Light Element, while Grace is a great Shadow adventurer.

Just like characters in mobile RPGs like Genshin Impact, a lot of the S-tier rankings in Dragalia Lost come down to personal preferences. Not every 5-star character is ranked as S-tier, just like some S-tier characters are actually 4-star adventurers. The pirate captain Karina is almost always ranked S-tier. Lowen, a 4-star character, and his 5-star Hallowen Lowen counterpart are both usually S-tier adventurers as well. The best team builds will use adventurers from a variety of Elements, though, so a diverse team is usually better than one made up of four S-tier adventurers of the same Element.

Again, a lot of rankings come down to personal preferences, so tier lists will differ from player to player. However, there are some characters like Marth and Gala Elisanne that most people agree are the best. Ultimately, to get the most fun out of Dragalia Lost, players just need to find adventurers and a team they like.
