Although it was a rough season for the Patriots, who finished 4-13, Maye’s promising performance was seen as a positive. New head coach Mike Vrabel described Maye as a “young, dynamic quarterback” on ESPN Sports center earlier this week.

“I think he is young, talented, willing to learn. I think he is solid in it. There’s an incredible skill set that he can mold into and have him lead our football team and offense,” Vrabel, 49, said Monday, Jan. 13.
