Rogers Arena apologized for the late notice after fans had already lined up for the show
Fans waiting in line for Drake’s concert on Monday unfortunately had to hold on and go home as the concert was postponed at the last minute.
According to CBC News, the news came just two hours before the concert in Vancouver, BC on Monday August 28th — which was set to start at 8:00 PM PT at Rogers Arena — where fans were already lined up.
Rogers Arena revealed that the concert was postponed due to technical difficulties with the new equipment.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances with the newly installed video board at Rogers Arena, Drake’s performance tonight will now take place on Wednesday, August 30,” the venue said in a statement. published on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The statement continued: “All tickets will be paid for. Drake’s August 29 show will go ahead as scheduled. Drake was ready and excited to perform. He looks forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rogers Arena apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Before the concert, Rogers Arena advised fans not to come there earlier than 8 am on Monday for general admission. However, the site posted a video of a trade tent outside at the arena just hours before the concert, telling fans to get there early to grab something before Drake’s set.
The rapper is currently in the middle of his It’s All a Blur tour with 21 Savage, which will continue through October with shows across North America.
During his tour, he experienced a handful of items thrown at him by fans, the latest being a copy of Drizzy’s own poetry book, Titles Ruin Everythingearlier this month at his concert in San Francisco, which he luckily caught.
“You’re lucky I’m fast,” he told a fan. “I’d have to beat you up if that hit me in the face.”

Since he started his tour at the beginning of July, he’s had phones, vape and a lot of bras thrown in his direction during performances.
While he doesn’t welcome most things on stage, the “Headlines” rapper has come to associate underwear with a positive performance, expressing his disappointment when the stage was braless during a recent show in Montreal, Canada.
“I just want to say, before I move on to this next song, this is the first stage where I’m not wearing a bra and I’m deeply disappointed,” Drake told the crowd, per footage taken by fans. “But don’t start throwing shoes and phones and s—.”
He continued, “If you have a bra though, just tell me I still have it on because I feel like I might be giving a bad performance or something.”
