Drew Wilborn was arrested Wednesday on charges of sexual misconduct with a child. The Prosper Independent School District board president has been arrested by Dallas police. Wilborn, a 43-year-old school principal in North Texas, was involved in a major incident involving indecency with a minor.
Claims made against the president of the Prosper ISD board of trustees have recently come under scrutiny. Drew, executive pastor of Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, allegedly sexually touched the young man. More information about his arrest, as well as his bail and attorney, have yet to be released.
Drew Wilborn was arrested for child sexual abuse
Dew Wilborn, president of the Prosper Independent School District, was arrested for sexual misconduct with a child. According to jail records, the Prosper ISD board president was taken into custody on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in the afternoon. On April 12, 2022, Dallas police received information about an incident between a juvenile and a school board president. After the investigation, the police obtained a warrant for the 43-year-old. He was arrested at his home in Celina, Texas.
Wilborn was arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail on charges of indecency with a 16-year-old boy. As of Wednesday, it was not clear if bail had been set or if the Prosper ISD president was represented by an attorney. The Prosper Independent School District issued a statement saying no Prosper children were involved.
Prosper ISD also referred all inquiries about the matter to the Dallas Police Department. In 2022, Wilborn followed multiple heated meetings with parents who questioned how Prosper ISD was handling allegations of sexual abuse by bus drivers. The management board hired a law firm that investigated the complaints of the parents of two elementary school girls aged 5 and 7 who attended the same school.
They expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of action against the driver who allegedly sexually assaulted their daughters over 100 times in less than a year. The accused bus driver, Frank Paniagua, committed suicide by jumping from the second floor of the Collin County Jail. He became paralyzed and died a few days later. Drew Wilborn’s Personal Information
Drew Wilborn is the board president for the Prosper Independent School District. The 43-year-old, who was just elected chairman, campaigned extensively for the board and will begin his three-year term in 2021. Wilborn graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in accounting control systems in 2002.
In 2014, he received a master’s degree in Christian education from Dallas Baptist University. In June 2017, the current ISD board president moved to Prosper with his wife and family. Drew previously worked as an accounting supervisor and financial analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. The 43-year-old devoted Christian was the pastor and chief financial officer at Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church for more than 16 years.
