Dwayne Johnson “had to take care” of his old college — and he also had to offer some funny advice to the students.
On Sunday, September 1, the 52-year-old Black Adam star shared a video of students at the University of Miami’s Canes Fest taking home some of Johnson’s Papatui men’s grooming products, which he called a “cool full-circle moment.”
In the video, several incoming freshmen tried the products, gave them a smell test, and told workers at the Papatua booth what they thought of the brand — and the feedback from the new students seemed to be pretty positive.
“A great full circle moment ⭕️ to be able to gift our new Miami freshman their PAPATUI so they can take better care of themselves as they begin their exciting college journey,” Johnson wrote in the video, adding, “because the only thing that is given is when we were freshmen in Miami we were ‘3 hot and a bed’ and we were smashing each other on the court 😉🏈.”

Before reminding followers that Papatua is available “exclusively at Target,” Johnson also shared some advice for new students — and he didn’t hold back.
“Study hard, have fun and don’t get too drunk on Thursday nights because you still have class on Friday! 🥴🤣,” Johnson wrote.
Johnson joined the University of Miami football team in 1991, according to the College Football Hall of Fame, where he had 77 career tackles and 4.25 sacks as a defensive lineman.

Even outside of sharing humorously helpful tips with students, Johnson has never been shy about offering valuable lessons to his fans. Speaking to PEOPLE in April, he revealed that his mother has “always been there for him” as his biggest champion in life, as he revealed the lesson she instilled in him at a young age.
“Even when I was a punk in high school, getting in trouble, getting arrested, she would say, ‘I feel like the world is going to hear about you one day.’ This is when she picks me up from the police station,” he said then. “Love was boundless. The support was limitless.”
As for the advice he would have for that same “punk kid,” Johnson said he would encourage himself to “keep doing what you’re doing.”
“Let your gut be your guide. If you feel strange, there’s a reason why your gut is speaking to you. Be sure to listen to that voice and it will serve you for the rest of your life,” he said. “I would also say to that kid from years ago, ‘Listen, you steal a Snickers every day before the gym. One day you won’t be an ass. Go back to the 7-Eleven in Hawaii and buy all the Snickers, pay for them and leave them there for other people .’ ”
