Ruth and Eamonn shocked the nation in May when they revealed they had split after 14 years of marriage.
Eamonn recently traveled to Spain with his new wife on Sunday as they embarked on a cruise.
Taking big steps in their romance, the couple are now looking to make it more official, as a source close to the relationship counselor told The Sun: “Katie has reassured him that she’s in it for the long haul and they’ll both settle down nicely.
“They spend so much time at his apartment in Kingston that they even want to move in together permanently.
“Eamonn doesn’t want to stay in his rented flat because it’s too small, too expensive and, with no air conditioning, it gets really hot.
“It’s also in the basement, people keep looking in as they walk by so it’s not private enough for them.
“With that in mind, they really want to move to a bigger place in the country with a lot of land.
“Katie will obviously be there to look after Eamonn as he gets older and she thinks it’s best to do it somewhere without prying eyes.”
The Sun has contacted Eamonn’s representatives for comment.
Ruth and Eamonn – who have a son Jack – first got together in 1996 and married in 2010.

And Eamonn moved out of their home in Surrey after the split.

Marriage counselor Katie pushed Eamonn’s walking frame through the departures lounge as he followed her in a wheelchair this weekend.
But a source told Mail Online that Eamonn’s bank holiday with his new girlfriend left Ruth “shocked”.
An insider told the publication: “Ruth is shocked at how open Eamonn has been about their relationship, after all they are both still wearing their wedding rings.
Neither of them wants to be the first to take it off because they don’t want to look like they’re to blame for the breakup.
Despite seeing Eamonn go on holiday with his new wife, Ruth is still wearing her wedding ring.
The jewelery could clearly be seen on the Loose Women presenter’s defiant finger as she chatted to fans on Instagram ahead of a date for the show.
This weekend, Eamonn and his new girlfriend Katie flew to Barcelona to board Virgin Voyager’s luxury ship, the Scarlet Lady.
Dubbed the “refuge at sea”, it will ferry 2,700 adult passengers along the Spanish, Italian and French coasts over the next seven days.
Katie wore a Breton striped cardigan and beige trousers, paired with platform heels as she pushed Eamonn’s walk through Heathrow Airport.
TV presenter Eamonn has been plagued by a series of health problems in recent years, which has left him in need of walking aids.
He had a double hip replacement in 2016. He had back surgery last year, which is why he is in a wheelchair.
And in January, he broke his shoulder in a fall. Four months later we discovered he had broken up with Ruth.
