Eastenders legend hinted at a permanent return to the show after making a surprise.

The celebration of the 40th anniversary of the BBC soap saw that a few past characters were coming back.

Among them is the love of 00s Garry Hobbs (Ricky Groves) and Minty Peterson (Cliff Parisi).

The duo – who both left Walford more than ten years ago – performed a special appearance for Stari Pala Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick).

However, Ricky hinted that viewers could see more of their beloved Garry character.

The 56-year-old described his return to Walford as a “absolute privilege.”

He added, “It was a nice day. It was strange because I wasn’t there for fourteen years, so it was great to see my old friends.

“It was great to meet some new acting. I just wish I were there more.”

Garry originally arrived at Albert Square 2000, along with the Slater family.

The mechanic was at the time with Lynne Slater (Elaine Lordan), with whom he later married and divorced.

For several years in their stay, the writers have created a friendship between Garry and a colleague of mechanics.

In addition, the couple became a plane and known for their comedies.

Garry said goodbye to Walford in 2009, literally sailed at the sunset with Dawn Swann (Kara Tointon).

This week, the viewers learned through Minty that Dawn and Garry had been split after they had left the square.

It was also revealed to occupy the spare room of the best Mate Minty.

Initially, Garry claimed to his old friends that he had a sublime job in the media.

Fans, meanwhile, were delighted to see best friends back to Albert Square.

One wrote, “I was screaming when Garry and Minty reappeared.”

Eastenders ’40. Stone Anniversary so far

With the 40th anniversary of Eastenders, fans rejoice in several more incredible stones from the iconic faces of Walford’s past. But who have we had so far?

Tracy -ann Oberman – Oberman returned as Chrissie Watts, a character he last played almost two decades ago.

Paul Bradley – Bradley returned as Nigel Bates, a character he played last time more than 25 years ago.

Micheal Franchin – The French returned as David Wicks, a character he last played two decades ago.

Patsy Palmer – Palmer returned as Bianca Jackson, a character she last played in 2019.

The arrival of this year …

Ross Kemp – Kemp will repeat his role as Grant Mitchell, a character he first played in 1990. BBC described Kemp’s story as “explosive.” Kemp said it was “absolute honor” to return to the show.

Other aspects of the 40th anniversary celebration include: a wedding between the favorites of the fans, a huge explosion on the Queen Vic and the interactive episode live.

Another said, “Garry and Minty !! Eastenders return og -ve.”

While the third commented, “I started watching Eastenders 2008. I remember Minty and Garry!”
