SINGER Ed Sheeran was caught up in a terrifying incident when a drunken passenger racially abused crew.
The Shape of You star, 32, was an hour into his journey from Miami to Heathrow when the curmudgeon caused trouble by asking for a drink.

He was tied down and armed policemen boarded on landing.

An angry, drunk passenger asked for more alcohol and was refused.
He reacted with insults as passengers on the line to Heathrow filmed his outburst.
In one clip, the Scotsman says “Fuck you bitch”, adding: “Get all your boring cu*** faces out of my fucking eye range.”
As the confrontation continued, he allegedly made monkey noises at the passengers and crew.
An off-duty officer and other fliers restrained him and he was strapped into the booster seat.
There were fears that the BA captain would return to the US. But after landing in London, six armed police officers boarded the plane and arrested the man in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Grammy winner Ed performed in the US on Sunday, with fans including football’s Lionel Messi watching.
Ed agreed to a selfie with Dan Haughian, 41, at the departure gate in Miami before the air rage incident.
Dan, from Manchester, said: “Everything just fell into chaos.
“The things this guy said and did were just obscene.
“When they refused to give him a drink, he started making monkey noises and gesturing towards the cabin crew.
“The language that came out of his mouth was worse than you would hear at a football game. He was lucky no one knocked him out, everyone was horrified. There were a lot of kids watching.”
Dan, returning from a business trip, said that even when the cub was restrained, his ten-minute tantrums meant no one could sleep during the nine-hour night flight.
Dan added: “The guy must have been drunk when he got on board because the crew refused to serve him after only an hour and they didn’t even have a trolley.
“At one point we were told they might be diverted and the pilot even came over trying to calm everyone down.
“Several people shouted ‘Lucky’ when the guy was taken away.
“I hope he gets what’s coming to him. No one should behave like that.”

The Met Police said: “At 1.59am on October 24 officers at Heathrow received a report that a passenger on a flight arriving from Miami had made racist comments towards other passengers and crew members.
“Officers met the plane and a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of racially motivated public order offences. He remains in custody.”
British Airways said: “Disruptive behavior will never be tolerated on our aircraft and we will always take appropriate action.”
