Elden Ring: How To Get Fire’s Deadly Sin

Fire’s Deadly Sin is an Incantation in Elden Ring that sets the caster and the surrounding area ablaze with a raging fire. This Spell is undoubtedly a bold power move but might seem counterintuitive for combat. Furthermore, the player’s HP will gradually diminish when covered in flames. However, clever Tarnished have schemed up an unorthodox manner of using this outlandish Incantation in Elden Ring by pairing it with the Erdtree Greatshield.

While losing HP from the Fire’s Deadly Sin Spell, the player can proc the Erdtree Greatshield’s unique active ability to fire a holy beam of light from its center. These bolts of light cost a little Stamina but no FP to cast, meaning Tarnished can shoot projectiles infinitely as long as they’re ablaze. Of course, such a bizarre yet potent build can also be combined with Incantations that heal over time or Talismans that increase Resistance to Fire Damage. Nonetheless, while Elden Ring fans will likely develop multiple ways to exploit this build, acquiring the Fire’s Deadly Sin Incantation is the first step.

To get Fire’s Deadly Sin in Elden Ring, Tarnished must have access to the Atlus Plateau in Elden Ring and Leyndell, Royal Capital. Moreover, obtaining the Incantation is part of a Painting puzzle, which means the player must also interact with the particular Painting for the Spell to spawn elsewhere.

Fire’s Deadly Sin Location In Elden Ring

First, Tarnished must enter the Royal Capital of Leyndell by teleportation via the Trap Chest atop Tower of Return or defeating the Draconic Tree Sentinel guarding the northern entrance at the Capital Rampart. Next, travel to the Fortified Manor located on the city’s western side, near the Divine Bridge. Search the building for its Site of Grace, Fortified Manor, First Floor. Within the same room sits a large illustration called the “Flightless Bird” Painting. After interacting with it, adventurers must now find where the picture was painted.

From Leyndell, trek northwest to the Outer Wall Battleground in Elden Ring. Exit the Capital’s walls and continue journeying to the northwest until reaching the Windmill Village, a hamlet established on the side of a mountain. Ascend the village’s steps while being wary of the unnerving dancing women. At the top, Tarnished will encounter the Godskin Apostle, a boss that drops the Godskin Peeler and Scouring Black Flame. Fighting this Field Boss is optional as players should instead head towards the house sitting near the cliff, southwest of the peak. Approach the ledge to find a seated ghost that will disappear once the player gets close. In the spirit’s stead will be the Fire’s Deadly Sin Incantation in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
