Elden Ring Katana Guide: How to Unlock (& Use) The Hand of Malenia

How to use Waterfowl Dance Ash of War in Elden Ring

For players to properly use Malenia’s Hand, they need 16 Strength and 48 Dexterity. Malenia’s hand is mainly about strength and agility. It’s a very good weapon for agile builds and bleed builds. Ashes of War comes with the Hand of Malenia which is unique, preventing the player from converting or changing the Ashes of War or the Hand of Malenia’s weapon skill.

Ashes of War is the Waterbird Dance, a series of combo slashes that allow the player to jump with one leg and complete 2 sets of combos with forward momentum. It is a direct copy of Malenia’s Move Kit Elden’s ring, also known as the water bird dance. The Hand of Malenia’s normal attack is a one-handed attack, which is a series of light attacks that combine 5 slashes and a combination of heavy attacks from piercing to horizontal slashing.

The two-handed combo is the same for light attacks, but changed for heavy attacks. Players will now make a Strong Slash into a Strong Slash, a set of 2 Strong Slashes. For a sprint attack, the player will perform a forward slash or a stab. The player can use the dodge button to make a quick attack.

Elden’s ring Available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
