Elden Ring: Where To Find The Perfumer’s Talisman

The Perfumer’s Talisman is an accessory in Elden Ring that increases the potency of Perfume items by 20%. While it is currently unknown if this issue is a bug, the effect of this Talisman only applies to damage-dealing Perfumes, particularly Spark Aromatic. Accordingly, the Perfumer’s Talisman does not seem to buff the effects of support Perfumes like Uplifting Aromatic or damage-over-time items such as Elden Ring‘s Acid Spraymist.

The location of the Perfumer’s Talisman is the Perfumer’s Ruins, a landmark on the opposite side of the lake west of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill in Altus Plateau. To reach this area, Tarnished adventurers can ride down the western slope of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill, making their way past several abandoned coaches. After arriving at the Abandoned Coffin Site of Grace, following the northwestward trail to find the Perfumer’s Ruins. Those who’ve defeated Magma Wyrm Makar of the Ruin-Strewn Precipice will already have access to the Abandoned Coffin and can simply ride northward to the Talisman’s location.

The Perfumer’s Talisman is hidden in an underground vault covered with breakable wooden planks. Tarnished can find this entrance by coming into the ruins from the east and going to the northwestern corner. The concealed entryway in Elden Ring will be surrounded by a stack of crates and barrels. Players can break the wooden covering by dodge-rolling atop the planks. Then, descend the dank staircase and open the door at the end to find the Perfumer’s Talisman within a small chamber.

How To Use Perfumer’s Talisman In Elden Ring

As mentioned above, the primary use of the Perfumer’s Talisman is to boost the damage dealt by the Spark Aromatic by 20%. To learn the Spark Aromatic’s recipe, Tarnished must pick up the Perfumer’s Cookbook [1]. This Cookbook is conveniently placed in a chest at the center of the Perfumer’s Ruins, nearby the Talisman. To craft this offensive item, players will need Altus Bloom ×1 and Miranda Powder ×1. Naturally, reusable Perfume Bottles will also be required to make this recipe in Elden Ring. One can be purchased for 2,000 Runes from the Hermit Merchant at Hermit Merchant’s Shack. This shack can be found near the northern outer walls of Leyndell, Royal Capital.

Altus Blooms are relatively easy to find throughout Altus Plateau. Multiple nodes can be gathered at the Perfumer’s Ruins, and several more can be collected near the Fallingstar Beast’s lair near the Outer Wall Phantom Tree. On the other hand, Miranda Powder is more scarce but can still be reliably obtained from mob drops. Tarnished can farm Miranda Powder from the Perfumers in the Perfumer’s Grotto or from the Giant Poison Flowers north of the Morne Tunnel in the Weeping Peninsula.

Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
