All news sources are reporting the arrest of the 19-year-old. Authorities recently detained offensive lineman Elijah, raising questions about his availability for the Crimson Tide’s next college football playoff game. Moreover, this is not his first contact with the police. Elijah Pritchett, a native of Columbus, Georgia, was the top offensive line prospect in the 2022 cycle. Several sports outlets gave Pritchett a five-star rating. Corey Joyner also coached him at Carver High School during his high school years. He ended up choosing Alabama over Florida State.
Pritchett committed to the University of Alabama in 2022 and appeared in 13 games for the Crimson Tide. During the season, he faced opponents such as Tennessee, Texas, USF, Georgia, Texas A&M, Mississippi and others.

Tuscaloosa police arrested redshirt freshman offensive lineman Elijah Pritchett. Under Alabama Code 22-11A-21, he was charged with a class C misdemeanor. The misdemeanor was knowingly spreading a sexually transmitted disease. Furthermore, pursuant to AL Code 22-11A-21, the State of Alabama determines a specific penalty.
It reads:
‘Anyone who knowingly transmits a risk of transmission, or does any act that could transmit a sexually transmitted disease to another person, commits a Class C misdemeanor.’
However, Elijah was eventually released on $500 bail. He is classified as a young offender from the age of 19. This is a regulation that applies to persons aged 18 to 21. Only persons aged 18 to 21 cannot be prosecuted as adults. Due to the sensitivity of the case, authorities will release very few facts surrounding the arrest. Such sensitive medical data is legally protected.
A court in Tuscaloosa granted him status. As a result, he received a lesser sentence and waived his right to a jury trial. Likewise, no criminal judgment will be pronounced. They will similarly seal the case files. Authorities released him on bail just days before the Crimson Tide were to play in the College Football Playoff semifinals at the Rose Bowl.
Pritchett has been arrested before
Elijah Pritchett, the arrested constable, was already involved in the controversial actions. Prior to this arrest, officers pulled Pritchett over for going 95 mph in a 65 mph zone. Pritchett has been driving a Mercedes-Benz since 2014. Pritchett explained to the ticket officer that he was unaware of his speed. A month later, he attended a four-hour defensive driving course. He did 10 hours of community service there. In addition, he paid $197 in court costs.
Similarly, from May 22-26, he volunteered at Carver (Ga.) High in Columbus. Michal Osoh, Carver’s coach, signed a statement on the floor. Pritchett was said to have worked with the players during practice and reminded them of the need for discipline, among other things. After the statement, the authorities removed him from the case. On September 5, the university dismissed his case. There was no public penalty for Pritchett after that.
