Emma Hernan says she has not decided if she will return Selling Sunset given the way her relationships were – and weren’t – portrayed on the Netflix show.
A real estate agent spoke with Sup in an interview published on Friday, September 13, saying that she feels “blindsided” by the storylines of her season 8 of the hit reality television series.
According to Hernan, one whole story in which she showed vulnerability was left out of the series by the producers.

“I was filming this season with the person I was actually seeing at the time,” Hernan said, adding that she was “undecided” to open up about her private life, but ultimately decided to do so.
“I don’t know why it didn’t make it into the series, but I shot a lot of scenes with the person I was seeing,” she continued. “I was vulnerable. It wasn’t easy for me, but I did it anyway because I thought it would be good for the audience to see what I was up to and who was trying to date me and my back-and-forth thought process behind it. ”

Hernan added that the infamous bite mark came “from a person I was seeing,” though it got a little vague over the course of the series.
“I didn’t really understand it and I don’t know the thought process behind the producers who made that decision,” she said. “I guess it was a better story not to tell me what was going on behind my back, and that’s why it happened.”
Netflix had no comment when asked by PEOPLE about the production omitting Hernan’s scenes.
The estate agency, who is also the CEO of Emma-Leigh & Co empanadas, also addressed her co-star Nicole Young’s claims that Hernan dated a married man while she was on the show.

“I mean, Nicole is a sick person,” Hernan said, adding that “there’s no truth to that rumor.”
Herman explained that the man was a client she communicated with in 2021 and that “nothing happened” between them.
“I showed this person real estate and then they actually asked to invest in my empanada company. I said ‘no’ and nothing happened. When I say nothing happened, I never touched this man, I never kissed him, I never held hands with this man. I was completely blindsided by this whole situation, I mean stabbed in the back by everyone involved, everyone who knew anything about this, because it’s complete slander, it’s slander, it’s all those things,” she said.

Hernan added that she set her boundaries very clearly with the individual: “This is not even a gray area.”
“I know there might have been a crush there, but there was nothing, not a single thing that happened. That’s why it was so disheartening to see what Nicole said,” she continued.
Hernan said she has “mixed emotions” about returning to the series, but would likely be open to a reunion before the cancellation was announced because “I haven’t been given a chance to clear up my situation.”
