Disney’s Latest Hits Encanto captivate audiences with a heartbreaking story of intergenerational trauma and a touching soundtrack. Of course, thanks to the fact that the soundtrack was created by geniuses behind the scenes hamilton And In the highlands: Lin-Manuel Miranda.
However, some elements of the film do not make sense to viewers, especially the main character Mirabel Madrigal. The teenage girl, voiced by broadcaster Stephanie Beatriz, is funny and eccentric, though some aspects of her story are a bit confusing — questions that continue to baffle fans despite her review.
Why can’t Mirabell distinguish Camelot?
Mirabell’s cousin, Camillo, is gifted with shapeshifting. Even so, his family can often tell when he is impersonating someone, such as when his father, Felix, berates him for posing as Dolores for a second meal.
However, Mirabell can’t seem to tell when the person she thinks she’s talking to is Camillo in disguise. Although Mirabell lived and had a close relationship with Camelot throughout her life, Mirabell still does not know when Camelot was in a shapeshifting state. Of course, there could be another fact that she seemed completely oblivious to what was going on with her family – and finding out that was what saved the world.
Why are there aborigines?
When Mirabell entered Bruno’s room, her only companion in this adventure was a touch cat. So why are the Aboriginal people there? Mirabell is not a character closely related to animals – that title belongs to Antonio. Toucans seem to hang out with her completely randomly.
Perhaps the toucan is a member of the Madrigal family, a shape-shifting member? Camillo probably wanted to be with Mirabelle when she entered Bruno’s room.
Why doesn’t Mirabell know about Bruno?
Mirabelle knows nothing about Bruno except that he can see the future. That’s why she asked the family about him in the song, we are not talking about bruno. So why does Camillo know enough about Bruno to be able to sing his song?
Camillo was only a few months older than Mirabell, so they were both very young when Bruno disappeared. However, at the beginning of the film, Camillo seems to understand Bruno better than Mirabell. Admittedly, Camillo doesn’t quite understand Bruno right in the song because he’s less than 7 feet tall – so that could be down to Bruno’s upbringing and the Morphine legend. If so, how did Camillo know about Bruno’s mouse?
Why does Mirabelle think she ruined the magic?
When Mirabell found herself in Bruno’s prophecy, seemingly at the center of the crack where Casita appeared, she immediately concluded that she was breaking the spell. However, Mirabell did nothing but live a normal life.
Why does Mirabell think she ruined everything when she did nothing wrong? Maybe it’s because Mirabell’s life is filled with light and her family makes her feel like she’s always doing something wrong, even when she’s not. It’s also likely due to the lingering effects of Mirabell losing her door and she always believed that something was wrong with her.
Why isn’t Mirabell color coated?
in isabella’s song What more can I do?Isabella and Mirabell dance among the strange new plants that Isabella has created. In doing so, Isabella is covered from head to toe in a clump of colorful trees. Mirabell, however, gets rid of the color without harm.
They played and danced close together before sharing their signature hug in front of the candles. So why isn’t Mirabel covered in smoke? Both sisters’ clothes will eventually get dirty.
Why doesn’t everyone in town know about Mirabell?
Mirabelle is the only member of the Madrigal family other than Abueira Alma who did not receive the gift. They live in a small town and are central figures in everyone’s lives, and Mirabell’s lack of presents is big news. However, not everyone in town knows that Mirabelle has no talent.
While some townspeople do, the kids don’t, and so do the musicians playing the opening song. While it makes sense that the kids are too young to remember Mirabelle’s failure ritual, why wouldn’t the musicians know?
How did Mirabell leave Bruno’s room?
This is probably the most pointless. To get to where Mirabelle needed to go in Bruno’s room, she climbed several stairs and jumped over the abyss with a rope. Then the part of the cliff with the rope broke and fell down.
How the hell did Mirabell get out of Bruno’s room? Once the rope had fallen, there was no way to get through the crack and Casita couldn’t be of much help in that room. Also, after Mirabell put together Bruno’s prophecy, the room collapsed. Mirabell’s escape was like a miracle.
Why does Mirabell still live in the nursery?
Yes, Mirabell didn’t get presents, but why can’t she at least have a new bedroom instead of the old nursery? In addition to the disappointment of not receiving the gift, the family’s refusal to allow Mirabell to leave the nursery seemed cruel and unusual.
While this brings Mirabell and Antonio together, Idyll possesses a magical house that can create a new room for Mirabell when required. It may not be as luxurious and magical as other bedrooms, but it is still a place for Mirabell to live with herself as an adult, rather than being confined to a child’s room for life.
What is the point of a butterfly?
The costumes in the movie are complicated and everyone’s costumes have details that correspond to their characters. For example, Bruno’s cape has an hourglass on it. Mirabell’s costume features butterflies from the beginning, but butterflies don’t become important until the second half of the film.
It can be guessed that Mirabell herself represents a butterfly, a caterpillar at the beginning of the film and a butterfly at the end. Although the butterfly’s symbolism is rich, its meaning is unclear, leaving viewers to make their own assumptions.
Why did Mirabelle not receive the gift?
The most obvious confusion is: Why did Mirabelle not receive the gift? This is probably what the audience hopes to find out throughout the movie, but only guesses when they don’t have an answer.
One interesting theory on Reddit is that Mirabelle should inherit the matrilineal role after Abuela Alma’s death. After all, Abuela is quite old and as far as the audience knows, he is not immortal. This also explains why Mirabelle doesn’t have her own room, as Abuela has to live in it when it’s available. With this hypothesis, the whole story becomes a Mirabelle becoming the next leader of the Madrigal family.
