Eric’s professional wrestling journey officially began on NXT on October 19, 2017. He was defeated twice by Lars Sullivan, including a rematch on October 21. He then wrestled with the Wisconsin Badgers at heavyweight and served as the team’s strength and conditioning coordinator in 2012. After a long absence, he returned with a new name, Ric Boog. The following year, he wrestled Kassius Ohno before returning the following month for a house show on December 6, where he teamed with Riddick Moss in a match they lost to the Street Profits.
