Escape to Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge raised concerns among some confused fans after sharing an update from their Château de la Motte-Husson in northwest France.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the couple revealed they will be wed at their 19th-century home, sharing a stunning photo of the happy couple standing outside the historic building.
The caption reads: “We’re about to welcome Sarah and Matt wedding guests for a celebration weekend and the Castle is full of wonderful smells! It’s sizzling with roast pork, delicious in the kitchen and everywhere else is filled with peonies and corals!

“During the quarantine, we launched a contest for our Salon project and Sara & Matt won their special day at The Chateau! We can’t wait.”
They then encouraged fans to learn about a previous wedding that took place at the castle, writing: “If you want to see our last wedding here for beautiful Judith and Michael, @ollyknightphoto very talented blog writer!”

Some fans were confused by the inscription and misunderstood the meaning of the castle’s “last wedding”. In the comments, one person wrote: “Last wedding this season or forever. We miss you on TV”, while another added: “This means no more weddings at the house. your beautiful home too?”

The wedding celebrations come at a tumultuous time for the reality stars, who were recently cut by Channel 4.
Dick and Angel, along with their two children Arthur and Dorothy, chronicled the restoration of their abandoned castle on the popular Channel 4 show, Escape to the CastleIt was first broadcast in 2015.

However, in May, it was confirmed that Channel 4 had officially shut down for the stars, just months after the final episode of their reality show aired.
The decision came after an independent investigation was conducted into Dick and Angelo’s conduct on the show, according to Deadline.

The outlet reported that Two Rivers Media, the production company behind the show, expressed concern and said they would no longer work with the pair.
The pair made headlines again later that month when a recording of Angel, who could be heard swearing at a crew member, was leaked to the media.
The family later addressed the controversy in an Instagram post. “We know there are so many stories in the press nowadays. We don’t even try to comment or give context, because anything can make a good headline,” the couple explained. . “We understand. Every story has two sides and from the incredible support we’ve received, most of you know that.
