- Esha Gupta once posted a snapshot of her chatting with her friends on Whatsapp. During the conversation, Esha Gupta and her friends criticized the performance of Nigerian footballer Alexander Iwobi. Her friends called the footballer a “gorilla” and said “evolution has stopped for him”. He added that the footballer did not transform from “a Neanderthal into a man”. To this, Elsa replied “haha”. However, this caused an uproar on social media, with people accusing her of being racist. She later deleted the post and apologized for her actions.
