Inside the backyard setting is an easy-to-spot bird feeder and a stone wall that separates the lawn from the woods in a brain teaser posted by Redditor throawaytehworld.
“My wife won’t let me go on it,” he said.
He may not have had a choice in the matter, but you can certainly start that timer and try to find the creature yourself.
With the clock ticking, it’s time to focus on the scene.
At first it might be hard to see anything but tall green trees.
But don’t give up just yet.
Look right, then left.
Now move your gaze up and down.
Let your gaze settle in the middle of the scene above the stone wall.
Now look a little more to the left.
Anyone can see water, but you have 20/20 vision if you can spot a camouflaged ‘dangerous noodle’ in less than 10 seconds
You might just see a brown and white spotted fawn hiding among the leaves of a small tree.
Did you notice? Congratulations, you have excellent vision and killer attention to detail.
This was not easy, considering that the animal blended into its environment rather imperceptibly.
Other Redditors have shared tips on how to deal with baby deer showing up in your yard.
“Very common and nothing to worry about. I have a bunch of deer around my place and quite often see young ones hiding by themselves,” said one user.
Advantages of brain teasers and optical illusions
Researchers have developed many tests to show how different regions of the brain respond to brain teasers and optical illusions. There are many advantages.
- They are not only entertaining, but shed light on how our brain interprets visual data.
- By regularly exercising your brain, you improve your ability to focus and observe details.
- Studies have shown that people who regularly face optical illusions and puzzles see great improvements in their problem-solving skills, concentration and attention.
- Improved concentration and attention span can prevent cognitive decline in old age.
- Optical illusions can improve vision by allowing you to see fine print.
“This is totally normal. Mom thinks your yard is a nice safe place,” agreed another.
“They usually hide a couple in our yard every spring, you just have to be careful with mowing and gardening for a few weeks and then they’ll be on their way,” chimed in a third.
“We find them everywhere during the wheat harvest. We always try to chase them into the woods whenever we come across them,” commented another Redditor.
Even if you think the fawn has been abandoned, it’s important not to disturb it, according to the ASPCA of British Columbia.
They explained that it is normal for a mother deer to leave her baby alone, returning only a few times a day for feeding time.
It probably won’t be long before she moves the baby to another location.
