Almost half of Britons, 43 percent of them, consider themselves lucky in life, according to a survey commissioned by Bookmakers.co.uk.

A survey of 2,000 adults found that a person can believe they are happy if they have good health, close friends and family, and no major worries – among other indicators.

The lucky ones may also find money on the floor, land a dream job, or be offered free stuff for no reason.

The bookies’ Peter Welch said: “Many will have lucky charms which they believe will continue to bring them luck in life, but it is interesting to see that a significant number consider themselves lucky without relying on a charmed item to do the trick.

“Karma can be a hotly debated topic and it was fascinating to hear people’s opinions on the relationship between the philosophical concept and wealth.

“Do you have to practice good and ethical practices to gain an advantage or is it really just the luck of the draw? I guess that will always be up for debate!”

The four-leaf clover is said to represent faith, hope, love and happiness.

Finding a rare plant in the optical illusion above could be a good sign for your future.
