This picture is known as an optical illusion, which means that other not so obvious elements could be found.

Can you spot it or will you just be scratching your head?

Time is short, but if you solve this task, you must have 20/20 vision.

It might seem a little intimidating at first, but it’s crucial to examine each part of the scene carefully.

You might want to start at the top left corner of the image and work your way down, or you might want to do the complete opposite – whatever gives you more confidence!

Did you manage to spot the hidden owl? If so, congratulations!

This is the African Barn Owl, a small species found only in sub-Saharan Africa and almost impossible to spot, especially when perched on a tree branch.

The pictures were taken by Roan du Plessis, a safari guide at a private game reserve in South Africa.

Roan, who lives and works at Beyond’s Ngala Safari Lodge, wanted to show visitors how the gamekeepers of the reserve are very skilled at spotting animals.

He said: “I take guests on luxury safaris for a living. I wouldn’t consider myself a professional photographer by any means, but the opportunities to take amazing photos are endless because of what I do.

“I was on safari with guests when I took these photos. I wanted to show how amazing trackers are at spotting animals.”

“It’s not improbable that I could take more photos like this because it’s typical barn owl behavior. That is, of course, if we can find them,” he added.

Still struggling to find the owl? Don’t worry because there will be a picture of the solution at the bottom.
