Psychologists at the University of Glasgow have discovered that looking at an optical illusion can improve vision by allowing you to see fine print.

And according to ZenBuisness, “These visual puzzles can provide you with good mental exercise, which in turn can help you think more effectively and solve problems more easily.”

They are generally thought to help us improve our attention span, concentration and overall cognitive abilities.

This illusion is especially tricky because of the different shades the background offers.

The reflective surface and impressive foliage offer the perfect camouflage for the wily pet, as the lack of variety and contrast is hard for your eyes to focus on.

The deceptive illusion was posted on Reddit and quickly gathered a wave of support from avid puzzlers.

One user wrote: “Haha! Great to find it.”

Another said: “I loved this! It’s cute, it doesn’t last forever, and it’s not terrible for me (me) either.”

While others scoffed at how easy it was to find the first cat in comparison.

One user said: “Where’s the first one? 🤔”
