Kourtney Kardashian Wedding Dress Was Inspired By Guns N’ Roses
Albeit every one of their festivals was brimming with popular looks, the lady of the hour held back something special for later by wearing a small-scale corseted Dolce and Gabbana dress to her last festival. The Poosh founder, nearly a year after the couple got married, is talking about how she and the iconic designer came up with her wedding outfits and what inspired them.
The reality TV star shared a carousel of throwback photos from her wedding day on Sunday, March 19, 2023. There were also a few photos that captured the design process, including several sketches of her gown and veil.
She said that:-
The first inspiration for my dress was when Travis and I were watching Guns N’ Roses November Rain video one night before we were even engaged, and we said to each other “this has to be our wedding.” She was wearing a short dress and I thought to myself “I need a short dress!” I had more visions inspired by some 1990s campaigns of Monica Bellucci shot by Helmut Newton for Blumarine.”
She further added that:-
When we knew our wedding was going to be in Portofino, it also influenced the vibes and feeling of the dress. I also just wanted to feel like we ran off to Italy and got married and wanted the dress and wedding to feel that way! When @dolcegabbana suggested putting Travis’s head tattoo of the Virgin Mary on the handmade lace veil with the words from his tattoo: family, loyalty, respect underneath, I got chills and knew how special that felt. (And my little mini veil I wore to dinner ☺️)”

Despite Kourtney Kardashian‘s Wedding Dress, the bride’s accessories stole the show. Kardashian completed her mini dress with a cathedral-length veil embroidered with the Virgin Mary, in addition to tulle gloves and lace heels. Vogue reports that lace flowers were used in the design of the veil to represent Portofino’s gardens.
Kardashian and the Blink-182 drummer performed a first dance to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” which was live performed by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo after Kardashian donned her second look of the evening. In addition, the couple set up food stations with dishes like pasta and cannolis that were inspired by Italy.
