In this article we will talk about the trial for the murder of YNW Melly. Jury selection has begun in the murder trial of rising rapper YNW Melly. The rising talent, whose real name is Jamell Maurice Demons, has worked with Kayne West and Kodak Black. The most important song of his is “Murder On My Mind”. Four months before he allegedly killed two aspiring rappers in Florida, the song was released in June 2018. The lyrics are as follows: He wakes up in the morning, killing AK-47, MAC-11, 9 and Glock In his mind. And all these niggas pu$$ and haters try to introduce him to his art but he can’t let them do it, he thought they killed him.
YNW Melly won her murder trial?
Because Melly could face the death penalty if convicted, the jury selection process is expected to take time. After the state filed a motion to allow the death penalty if the jury returned an 8-4 verdict in favor of the death penalty, the judge ruled in favor of the state last week. The new law was enacted in response to Nikolas Cruz, the Parkland school shooter, who was spared the death penalty by a split jury.
After opening statements are scheduled, the YNW Melly murder trial will air live on the Law&Crime Network. Cortlen Henry, Melly’s best friend, arrived at a Miami-area hospital in October 2018 and said his friends were injured in a drive-by shooting. According to the arrest document, he said they were bleeding in his car. Anthony Williams, 21, and Christopher Thomas, 19, were discovered by first responders and detectives with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso. They both left.
According to investigators, Henry claimed that he had just left a recording studio in Fort Lauderdale with Williams and Thomas when the car stopped and he began shooting. Williams and Thomas were wounded, despite Henry claiming to have dodged the shots. Detectives confirmed that when police arrived at the “crime scene,” they found no evidence of a shooting. According to Melly’s arrest report, while police investigated further, security footage revealed that Melly, Henry, Williams and Thomas were together in Henry’s car at the time Henry said the shooting occurred. Detectives argued that it was apparent the group was present the night of the crime based on phone records and blood spatter evidence and that the victims were shot in the car, not shot at. In February 2019, police charged Melly with two counts of first degree murder. The opening arguments will begin after the jury is seated, perhaps in mid-June. Therefore, follow the PKB news.
