Ajay Kumar Gupta, who is a retired forensic scientist, followed the autopsy reports as he was directed by the Calcutta High Court to prepare the report. He watched the video of the scene. After watching the video clips, Ajay Kumar indicated that it was a bruise. The high court’s decision to investigate the case as a murder rather than a suicide came after a second autopsy report was released.
