Family Karma Stars Monica Vaswani and Rish Karam Are Engaged: 'We Found Our Way'

Karam said he was “so excited” for the “next chapter” of the couple’s life together

Monica Vaswani and Rish Karam are engaged!

The Family karma stars took to Instagram on Sunday to announce their happy news and shared a series of sweet proposal snaps.

Revealing Karam, 29, popped the question on November 11, Vaswani, 31, wrote: “We found our way. True love is learning, growing and never giving up. We were blessed to be surrounded by amazing friends and family who supported us every step of the way. Our hearts are so full and I can’t wait to share our engagement with you 🤍.”

In a carousel of photos, Karam got down on one knee with a ring next to Vaswani, who was fittingly wearing a white dress. Another picture was taken as the couple celebrated Vaswana’s fitting with a kiss and a hug.

Karam also shared the same picture where he proposed and wrote a loving tribute to his new wife-to-be.

“I am very blessed and grateful to be able to call you my best friend, soulmate, and now MY FIANCE!” he wrote. “Your zest for life, beautiful smile and pure heart are just some of the many reminders why I am so lucky to be living life with you. I am so excited for this next chapter of our lives! Cheers to all the adventures life has planned for us, I love you girls 💍🍾.”

The couple received tons of congratulatory messages from their co-stars in the comments section, with Amrit Kapai writing, “Yes! 😍😍😍 so happy for you two! Well done! 🥂,” while Bali Chainani added, “I choreograph the dances!!!.”

Meanwhile, Vaswani’s ex Brian Benni, who is currently starring in the show’s third season Winter house, wrote: “Congratulations, my dears!! 😍😍.”

Monica’s father Raj Vaswani also shared his happiness at the news and added, “So happy for you both! My child is engaged and I will have a son! May God shower you both with endless love and happiness! ❤️.”

During the 3rd season Family karmaMonica was hit by rumors that Karam was cheating, which he vehemently denied.

In season three, Monica also admitted that she hoped she would be engaged by now because Karam had promised to get down on the knee before he turned 30. “It should have been before 30,” she said. “It was just pushed to 31.”

“To be honest, by 30 I thought I was going to start this next chapter, be married, have kids. So I’m on the fence. I’ve done everything right up until now. I have a 9-to-5 job, I have the respect of my parents ,” she continued in the confessional. “But why am I doing all this? Maybe I need to shake things up because this is the first time in my life that I feel like I don’t know where my life is potentially going.”

Vaswani and Karam, who joined the cast of the Bravo series in Season 2, were previously childhood sweethearts.

All three seasons Family karma can be streamed on Peacock. Earlier this month, NBCUniversal Entertainment president Frances Berwick said Diversity the series was currently “on hiatus,” but “I believe in my heart that we will bring it back at some point.”
