FOOTBALL fans fear Nottingham Forest’s ground could be flooded after footage emerged of the River Trent rising around the City Ground.
Storm Henk is causing chaos across the country, while the Met Office has also issued a cold weather warning.

Racetracks, Powerleague venues and Worcester cricket grounds are just some of the sports grounds that have been submerged due to the extreme conditions.
And Forest’s home was the last to be affected by the floods.
Trent – which runs past the City Ground – is getting closer and closer to the stadium ahead of the weekend.

Forest are scheduled to host Blackpool in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.
And while the match is not threatened at this stage, the video has caused panic among some football fans on the Internet.
One said, “Damn! I’ve never seen it so close!”
Another added: “I think it’s the most I’ve seen since 2000.”

A third replied: “Not far from the ground at all 😮.”
While a fourth replied: “They may have to postpone Sunday for health and safety reasons if it continues like this.”
Despite fans’ fears, Nottingham Forest shared a video on social media at midday on Friday showing their players training with the caption: “Preparing for FA Cup action 🏆.”
