Fans furious following Hollywood star’s Emmy snub

The Emmy nominations were there, but the fans were furious. Following the TV Academy announcement on Wednesday, many fans took to Twitter to share their disappointment with this year’s shortlist. But the number one complaint by far is Harrison Ford’s ‘rebuke’ to the comedy, shrinkage.

Prior to the announcement, it was assumed that actor Indiana Jones would receive a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. But while Harrison’s co-stars Jason Segel and Jessica Williams received nominations for their roles in the film, the 81-year-old actor was left off the shortlist.

“EASY the most overlooked of the Emmy nominations was Harrison Ford for LUCKING. He delivered the show’s best performance and showed a side of his talent that we’ve never seen before. before,” one fan tweeted.

“Harrison Ford’s humiliation at the Emmys absolutely drove me crazy. His performance in Shrinking will stay with me forever,” another concurred.

“Harris Ford has been robbed!” a third commented, while a fourth tweeted, “HOOOOWWWWW Harrison Ford wasn’t nominated for Best Supporting Actor??? Honestly, that’s my biggest complaint.”

The Apple TV series, which premiered in January, has received critical acclaim, with the performances of Harrison Ford and Jason Segel being particularly commended. Some publications even called it the best performance of Harrison’s career.

In the case of the 75th Emmy Awards, Harrison isn’t the only celebrity that fans have felt belittled this year. Emily Blunt, Elizabeth Olsen, Paddy Considine and Selena Gomez are just some of the stars who didn’t make it to the 2023 list.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also missed out on an Emmy for their Netflix documentary series, Harry & Meghan. There were two Emmy categories for which the Sussex show was considered, Outstanding Documentary and Non-Fiction Series, but were completely omitted.

This may come as a surprise to fans, as the show garnered a lot of interest when it debuted last December and has even more viewers. RavenWOMEN in its premiere.
