Faraaz Khan made his Bollywood debut in 1996 with the film Fareb, in which he played the role of Dr. Rohan Verma.
In 1997, he played the role of Vinod Kumar in the film Prithvi. In 1998, he played Niranjan Chaudhary in the movie Mehndi, sharing the screen with Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji.
After that, in 1998, he starred in the Hindi film Love Story 98. In 1999, he played another important role as Deepak Rai in the film Dulhan Banoo Main Teri.
He later appeared in the films Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya (2001) and Bazaar: The Marketplace of Love, Lust and Desire. His last film was Chand Bujh Gaya (2005), in which he played the role of Adarsh.

Faraz Khan has been suffering from acute chest infection since 2019. On October 8, 2020, after a video consultation with the doctor, he was admitted to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru as his cough worsened. While the ambulance was en route, Faraz suddenly began shaking uncontrollably and suffering a seizure. After being admitted to the emergency room, his brother discovered that Faraz had suffered three consecutive seizures because a herpes infection in his chest had spread to his brain. Since then, Faraz’s family has started raising funds for Faraz’s treatment. Fahad Abusher, while requesting financial support, wrote that his brother Faraz Khan was diagnosed with a brain infection and they needed Rs. 25 lakhs for treatment. Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan and Pooja Bhatt have provided financial assistance to the actor’s family. Faraaz Khan passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru after a long illness.

- In 1989, Faraaz Khan signed on to play the leading role in his debut role in the romantic musical Maine Pyar Kiya; however, after he fell seriously ill before filming, Salman ·Khan took his place. The film was a box-office hit; the foundation of Salman Khan’s career in Bollywood was established.
