FBoy Island: Are Peter & Casey Planted Or There For Second Chances?

FBoy Island fans are thrilled for the return of season 1 FBoy favorites Peter Park and Casey Johnson, but they want to know if the self-identified reformed FBoys (aka Nice Guys) are secret plants or really on the show for second chances. Peter and Casey were eliminated in season 1, with CJ Franco eliminating Peter in episode 1 after suggesting they nap together in a classic FBoy move. Despite flagging Peter as an FBoy, CJ and Casey slept together in the same episode and had a whirlwind romance until Casey’s controversial elimination.

Even though Casey found his way back into CJ’s good graces after escaping Limbro, CJ had already started a relationship with “New” Jarred Evans. In an unexpected twist, she chose to split $100,000 with Jarred instead of taking a chance with Casey in the end. Sadly, CJ and Jarred parted ways shortly after the cameras stopped rolling, reconfirming fan theories that CJ should have chosen Casey instead.

After Fboy Island season 2, episode 6, Showbiz Cheatsheet reported that Casey is a revealed Nice Guy, but Peter’s status is still unknown. However, fans are unsure if they are competing for a chance at love with Mia Emani Jones, Louise Barnard, or Tamaris Sepulveda, or if they are going to go the way of Garrett Morosky and will take the money and run. Host Fboy Island Nikki Glaser has already confirmed that, unlike last season, if an FBoy wins the grand prize, he “can truly keep it, all of it.” With Peter never really getting the opportunity to compete and Casey snubbed at the end, it stands to reason their return could be motivated by financial gain.

Both Peter and Casey from Fboy Island are adamant that they have changed, though, in private interviews, they have said there is no way the other has reformed. They spent multiple weeks together in the island’s rustic, beachy FBoy rehab center, Limbro, so they got to know one another well in season 1. However, Peter told Mia he missed his time with Nikki playing FBoy therapist, reconfirming what he said in previous interviews. Peter has been headstrong about becoming a different person with pure motivations and was upset when someone suggested otherwise, but it could have just as easily been an over-the-top act. Casey has also gone out of his way to show he has changed by being considerate and not trying to rush a connection with Tamaris. That’s all good, but Mia and Tamaris admitted they had crushes on the two season 1 FBoys since watching them last year.

If the women told producers about their interest in them before filming, it is possible they invited the men back for a second try at the money. Casey had his heart broken by CJ, with whom he had developed deep enough feelings to split the prize money last season. However, after their shocking split, fans wonder if he can be vulnerable enough to fall in love with another FBoy Island contestant after CJ. Particularly for Casey, Garrett’s return could also be telling, especially since Casey and Garrett had a bromance in 2021. Garrett knew he had manipulated Sarah Emig enough to win the money, and both Garrett and Casey have said they had plans to split Garrett’s winnings and move in together. While the jury is out on Peter, hints here and there show that Casey may not be the Nice Guy he is claiming to be.

Whether FBoy or Nice Guy, both men are in it for another chance. However, fans will have to wait and see how the season plays out to know if they are in it for a second chance at love or money. With FBoy Island promising more twists as the season progresses, some are hopeful that CJ will return after Casey and Tamaris have more time to bond, allowing CJ to be in Casey’s season 1 shoes. A common theme on FBoy Island is exploring the grey space between Nice Guy and FBoy; maybe everyone can be both.
