While The Sun chose to preserve the identity of the embattled celebrity so as not to spoil tonight’s action, it can be revealed that the campaigner has so far proved less successful in the trial arena.

Their decision to invoke the show’s iconic catchphrase means the other team has won the challenge by default.

“It’s clear the celebrity is exhausted – the trial has sparked fears in the camp that this contestant could walk if faced with much more,” an insider told The Sun.

Celebrities are currently participating in a split-camp challenge called Scarena.

The star’s failure spurs the other team on to success as they both battle to win an all-you-can-eat luxury breakfast.

A preview of tonight’s episode gives I’m A Celebrity fans a sneak peek of the Touchdown of Terror trial.

With Ant and Dec overseeing proceedings as usual, the celebrities – now divided into two separate camps – face off in the latest twist on the sports theme.

Nella and Grace are seen trying to free American footballs from a container containing many creepy crawlies.

All this while wearing a see-through helmet that is full of jungle creatures hanging around their heads.

Once released, they are tasked with throwing balls to their teammates, who will run to score touchdowns and score points for their side in a football-inspired challenge.

The home team came out on top in last night’s challenge, meaning those at Snake Rock were left with basic meals without the promised luxury breakfast.

Nigel seems determined to score points for the Snake Rock Away team and is seen scoring the first touchdown.

Teammates Nick Pickard, Marvin Humes and Josie Gibson can be seen cheering on from the sidelines as the pair do their best to take the lead.

Although Nella dropped the first ball, Sam can be seen remaining enthusiastic encouraging her to continue.
