Fellow Virgos Cameron Diaz, Sofia Richie and Rachel Zoe Celebrate Nicole Richie’s Upcoming Birthday: ‘Virgo Fest’

It’s never too early to celebrate in honor of Nicole Richie – especially if you’re a Virgo.

The House of Harlow founder turns 42 on Thursday, but she started her birthday celebrations a little early as she partied with some of her closest friends – many of whom she shares a star sign with.

Rachel Zoe, Cameron Diaz, Sofia Richie Grainge and author Cleo Wade were among the stars Nicole celebrated with, according to a series of photos Zoe shared on her Instagram Story on Friday.

“#VirgoFest was real and I love you @nicolerichie @cleowade,” Zoe, 52, wrote as she shared a group photo of her, Diaz, Wade, Sofia and Nicole blowing out candles on a Virgo-themed birthday cake. Baby2Baby’s Kelly Sawyer and stylist Liat Baruch also joined in on the fun, as the group of women all wore “Virgo Queen” headbands in honor of their shared star sign.

“It was fun 🎂🎂🎂 hence the blur 📸,” Zoe wrote of the celebration, which included a lavish birthday cake with a photo of Nicole and Wade on it.

Although most of the ladies’ birthdays have already passed — Sofia turned 25 on August 24, Diaz turned 51 on August 30, and Zoe turned 52 on September 1 — they were still in the mood to celebrate as they got together with their fellow Virgos.

As for the evening’s guests of honor, Wade and Nicole were also soaking up the celebratory vibes.

Zoe shared a cute video of the two birthday girls dancing to a version of Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better” that appeared to have a live band playing. “This is just perfect and I love you both and could look at this for hours birthday queens,” the celebrity stylist-turned-designer wrote on her Story.

In the video, Wade and Nicole, along with several other guests, danced in coordination to a song from Rihanna’s 2016 album. Anti.

Last month, when Sofia celebrated her birthday, she marked the occasion with Nicole – as well as several other famous faces.

She shared a fun TikTok video of herself dancing to Prada’s “Cassö x Raye x D Block Europe” with friend and TikTok star Jake Shane as the two cheered and enjoyed a drink. In the clip, Nicole appeared on the screen and playfully danced in front of Sofia and Shane as she walked by. “Ring for 25,” Sofia captioned the post.

On her birthday, her father, music legend Lionel Richie, posted a sweet message for his youngest child on Instagram as he shared a few photos of Sofia from the past.

Nicole celebrated her sister’s birthday on Instagram and shared a funny video on her Story in which she hit Sofia on the head with a balloon. In another sweet throwback photo, she carried her little sister on her back and captioned it, “I love you.”

For her birthday on August 30, Diaz also received her fair share of celebrity endorsements, including one from her longtime friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

Paltrow, 50, called Diaz “one of the best people I know” as she shared a selfie with her on her Instagram Story. She further described the actress as “one of my best, closest, dearest friends”.

The Goop founder then shared the same photo on her feed and wrote: “Happy birthday @camerondiaz my ride or die 💙.”

Diaz commented, “All the way Mamms ❣️❣️❣️.”

The Bad teacher star also received a touching tribute from her husband, Benji Madden, who called her his “queen” as he made a rare return to social media to celebrate her birthday.

“Happy birthday to my beautiful wife, best friend, best partner in everything, best mom to our baby girl, @Avaline wine chef, family chef, advisor, collaborator and everything in between,” musician Good Charlotte , 44, wrote of his wife. “You do everything. I’m so thankful that we have my family and I’m one lucky man — I know it seems obvious, but it’s really nice to say it out loud every once in a while when you feel it. I love you •forever •always •your •true love. Happy birthday Cameron ❤️😍.”

Diaz and Madden married in 2015 and have a daughter, Raddix, 3. Nicole is married to his brother, Joel Madden, and she and Diaz have been sisters-in-law for almost 10 years.
