The first couple of the new series of Married At First Sight UK has been revealed – with the groom throwing their wedding into chaos before it’s even started.
We exclusively reveal that dog walker Kristina (30) and mechanic Kieran (28) are the first couple to get married.

In a first look clip, cheeky Newcastle lad Kieran gets a pair of nasty false teeth fitted before his wife-to-be walks down the aisle.
He raises his finger to the lips of the gathered families so they don’t spoil his stunt and tensely waits to meet his new partner.
Kristina, dressed in a traditional white dress, is led by her dad to the altar, and her face falls when she sees the protruding creaks.
He can barely bring himself to look at Kieran who enthusiastically asks, “Are you okay, are you okay? What’s your name?”
The voice reveals Kristina’s true feelings as she exclaims, “These teeth. What the fuck?”
It is certainly a bold move and the first show.
Despite his bravado, Kieran is actually nervous.
He says: “I think the teeth might make us look a bit immature. I’m a bit nervous to see how it goes.
“This could really end badly. I just want to know if this girl is fun.”
Although the show’s failures far outweigh its success stories, Kieran and Kristina will no doubt be hoping they can laugh at the joke and replicate the real-life romance of former Mafs alumni Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Watch as the MAFS couple reveal their romantic engagement with a fantastic proposal
The couple, who met on the 2022 program, recently announced their engagement.
They shared on Instagram: “We kept a little secret.
“A week ago the absolute love of my life asked me to marry her as I was a bit slow to accept, thinking Zoe was a bit over the top for a night out with Bob that caught on fire, it was perfect and chaotic and just very ‘us’.
“Not to be a cliché but I really didn’t think this kind of love actually existed, having someone who loves, cares and respects you as much as you do them is the most amazing feeling.. and now I’m getting to marry my best friend instead of a stranger!
“I guess we have a special TV show to thank for setting up the craziest first date ever.. so thanks @e4mafsuk@e4grams.”
But as for Kieran, it remains to be seen whether he has bitten off more than he can chew.
Married At First Sight UK is back on E4 and will be available to stream on Channel 4 VERY soon. The rest of the singles will be released in the coming weeks.

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Series six lovers Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling have welcomed their first child Mafs.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the show and quickly found themselves in the outside world, moving into Adam’s home in Doncaster.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple had their daughter Beau.
Season 5 couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins have also managed to keep their marriage off the camera and welcomed their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us, “I just feel happy and grateful that it worked — and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were sick of dating apps when they signed up in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I was having a drink with a friend after work.
“While he was out having a cigarette, I scrolled through Instagram waiting for him to come back.
“The MaFS ad was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I applied?’
“A few beers later, when I got home, I submitted my application and the rest is history.”
Another couple who made Mafs UK history are Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a bit of an awkward start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same-sex pairing is still going strong.
They even have a successful collaborative podcast called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being on the show earlier this year when she told us, “We’re not legally married and I’ve never felt like we were. I definitely feel like the process makes you take your relationship a lot more seriously and have professional help… if you can survive that process, it lays a solid foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
