Floor is Lava detail before launch.
Netflix’s YouTube account released a trailer for Season 3 of the show, along with a brief recap:
“Fifteen brave new teams compete to win $10,000 by racing to the top of a giant volcano. Who will win and who will be defeated?”
In keeping with previous seasons, players will overcome obstacles in a room containing 80,000 US gallons of slick, bright red liquid representing boiling lava. Teams will have to move between objects above the “lava”, climb a mountain built into the studio, and eventually reach the exit without falling. When a player falls into the lava, he is removed from the game. Otherwise, a member of their team is allowed to go on and try to finish the race. Rutledge Wood perfectly captures the spirit of the game in the trailer:
“Floor Is Lava is coming back for a new season. How about the lion? Hotter. A giant volcano? Hotter. Who’s the host? It’s still hot.”
