Florence Pugh Revealed She Had Tracheomalacia On “Running Wild With Bear Grylls”

While participating in the current episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls, English actress Florence Pugh revealed that she suffers from tracheomalacia, a rare respiratory disease. On the August 15 episode of the show, the 26-year-old singer said her family was forced to move to warm Spain from rainy England on doctor’s advice.

“We were in Spain because I have a respiratory problem, and when I was younger I was told that a warmer environment would be better.” I have asthma and a condition known as tracheomalacia. So I actually have a weird respiratory system from a young age.”

Tracheomalacia, according to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, entails

“Because the cartilage in the trachea, or trachea, has not grown properly or has been destroyed, the walls of the trachea are flaccid or flaccid, rather than rigid. The cartilage is unable to keep the trachea open, making it difficult to breathe – especially during exhalation (expiration). Pressure from adjacent blood arteries can sometimes cause the trachea to collapse.”

However, the Black Widow star said her health has improved over time.

“As an adult, unless I’m sick, it doesn’t bother me as much as it did when I was younger.”

Florence Pugh went on a 48-hour excursion with Bear Grylls that started with her jumping out of a helicopter and continued through the volcanic jungles of Costa Rica.
