As Miss Martinique, Floriane Bascou represents the region at the Miss France 2022 competition held on December 11, 2021 at the Zenith Arena in Caen, Normandy. In the beauty pageant, she advanced to the top 15, then the top 5, and finally won the runner-up position of Miss France 2022.

Due to the inability of Diane Lyle (Miss France 2022) to participate in the international competition, the Miss France Organization confirmed on October 11, 2022 that Floriana Bascu will represent France in the Miss Universe 2022 competition. The event will be held in New Orleans, USA on January 14, 2023. Floriana became the first Miss Martinique to represent France in the Miss Universe competition. Her ethnic outfit for the event was designed by designer KenVee Clothing and was inspired by France’s Bastille Day, July 14. Floriane’s tournament journey ended before reaching the last 16.

- Floriane Bascou is also the sibling of Olympic medalist Dimitri Bascou. Her brother Dimitri specializes in the 110-meter hurdles. He won a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and was European champion.
- Floriane wants to be a dentist because she had braces as a child (at age 12) and she knows what it feels like to have braces. In an interview, she revealed that it was very difficult when she first started wearing it and she was not confident about herself. This was her motivation to study this subject, so she wanted to help especially children regain their smiles and repair crooked teeth.
