Former Disney star Skai Jackson has been arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse.
Jackson, 22, who starred in the Disney Channel show Jessie, was arrested Aug. 8 at Universal Studios, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to PEOPLE.
Police responded to Universal after security personnel arrested Jackson, a spokesman said. Deputies investigating the incident reviewed surveillance footage that they say shows Jackson pushing the victim.
There were no weapons or any identifiable injuries, the sheriff’s department says. Jackson was taken to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Office and released a few hours later.

A spokesman for Jackson was not immediately available for comment.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office also did not immediately respond to a request for more information, so it was unclear if Jackson had been formally charged in connection with the alleged incident.
Jackson played Zuri Ross Jessie and its spin-off On the bed. In 2019, she published her book, Reach for Skai: How to Inspire, Empower, and Clap and appeared on Dancing with the stars in 2020
