FORMER President Bill Clinton was rushed to hospital, it has been confirmed.
Clinton, 78, underwent medical tests at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, his former deputy chief of staff said.

It is assumed that he has a fever, but the situation is “not urgent”.
Clinton’s spokesman wrote on social media: “President Clinton was admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center this afternoon for testing and observation.
“He remains in good spirits and deeply appreciates the excellent care he is receiving.”
Clinton, a Democrat who served two terms as president from January 1993 to January 2001, addressed the party’s National Convention (DNC) in Chicago this summer.
In the run-up to the November election, he campaigned for Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris’ unsuccessful bid for the White House.
Clinton shocked supporters during his speech with his older appearance and hoarse voice on the third day of the DNC.
He spoke into the microphone in a commanding tone that echoed through the stadium.
But despite the strength in his voice, there was a hoarseness, a rasp that some viewers found hard to ignore.
Some wondered if Clinton was sick — when President Joe Biden displayed a hoarse voice at a presidential debate against Trump in June, it turned out he had Covid.
“Does Bill Clinton have Covid?” asked user X. “Why does he sound like that?”

Another person called it “disturbing” to see Clinton, 78, in her old age “with a weakened voice.”
“Bill Clinton doesn’t sound good,” wrote a third person.
“He hasn’t been for a while, he sounds older than he is, and he’s not very young these days.”
The 42nd president addressed the convention to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, but his supporters were focused on the sound of his voice, not his words.
In the years since Clinton left the White House, he has faced some health scares.
In 2004, he underwent quadruple bypass surgery after prolonged chest pains and shortness of breath.
In 2005, Clinton returned to the hospital for surgery on a partially collapsed lung, and in 2010, he had a pair of coronary artery stents implanted.
Clinton responded by adopting a mostly vegan diet that caused him to lose weight and report improved health.
In 2021, the former president spent six days in a hospital in California while being treated for an infection unrelated to COVID-19, when the pandemic was still near its peak.
An aide to the former president said at the time that Clinton had a urinary infection that spread to his bloodstream, but he was recovering and never went into septic shock, a potentially life-threatening condition.
They said Clinton was in the hospital’s intensive care unit at the time, but was not in intensive care.
