Frances Tiafoe Reveals He Did Shots with Taylor Swift: 'This Is Crazy'

Tennis player Frances Tiafoe has opened up about her night out partying with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce — and jokingly name-dropped a few more celebrities along the way.

During the performance at Headquarters podcast — hosted by NFL ex Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder — on Tuesday, Jan. 7, the tennis star, 26, got candid about some of the most famous athletes and celebrities he’s become close to since making his way to the top of the ATP rankings in order to maintain the 17th place in the world.

“I said it in real time, whoever I’m with, like, ‘Hey, I’m here taking a picture with Taylor Swift,'” Tiafoe said, confirming that he had drinks with Swift, 35, and Kelce, also 35 — as well as some other star athletes, including Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes.. “Gotta keep the dollar, we’re here Headquarters — I’m a Beyoncé guy. But at this point I’m like, man, like, this is crazy, she’s the biggest star here.”

“That’s when Travis and Mahomes said, ‘Hey, we’ve got to get you involved [Kansas City],” he continued. “They say it’s crazy for me, to roll out the red carpet for me. It’s crazy because playing tennis and being able to reach so many people and people want to meet me and hang out and actually do things, that’s the things, that’s why you do what you do.”

Tiafoe also said he shared several conversations with Knicks teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart — and added that tennis legend John McEnroe texted him after the big win.

While Tiafoe didn’t say when he dated the singer-songwriter and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, he was likely referring to hanging out with the pair in an Arrowhead Stadium suite after the Chiefs beat the Denver Broncos on Nov. 10. Tiafoe attended the game with his girlfriend Ayan Broomfield, who posted a TikTok from the date with a video of the two couples. they pose together, and one of Swift playfully sticks out her tongue.

Bloomfield said she gave Tiafoe hints on how to get them into the game. “I was talking to a friend a few weeks ago about wanting to experience a boss game,” she wrote. “And look at Frances hearing the conversation and making it happen 😩🥹.”

Elsewhere in their conversation, Headquarters The presenters also asked Tiafoe what he considers the turning point in his career. He told the star that that moment came in 2022, when he knocked 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal out of the US Open.

“I stepped into something different,” he said, recalling the day he won the match. “I went to the hotel that day, and the hotel was full, everyone was waiting for me. I got it now [security] like checking if I’m straight.

“When I checked into the hotel that day they said, ‘Oh, are you here to watch the US Open?’ ” he said with the laughter of the host.

For Tiafoe, his victory also served as an opportunity to reflect on how he sees himself – both as an athlete and as a person.

“… It’s amazing how it can change so suddenly, you know? Everyone wants to come watch, people hit me [up]I go to events I never thought about. … It took me a while to figure it out. I never really saw myself that way, but now I kind of accept it. It’s helped me a lot, for sure…to balance that level of fame and not get out of character and maintain a certain level of focus so you can go on and achieve your goals.”
