Friends Forever! Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer Reunite in Uber Eats Star-Studded Super Bowl Commercial

They are not on break!

Jennifer Aniston stars in Uber Eats’ Super Bowl 2024 commercial, which features several celebrity appearances, including her on-screen love, David Schwimmer. Throughout the video, he hilariously “forgets” the identity of his ex Friends costar.

The full ad (above) opens with Aniston on the studio lot thanking a production assistant for grabbing her Uber Eats bag. “I didn’t know you could get all these things on Uber Eats. I have to remember that,” says the employee.

Aniston replies: “Well, you know what they say, in order to remember something, you have to forget something else. Make a small room.”

The scene then cuts to Schwimmer, who is surprised to see Aniston on the same lot. “Yen! Hey!” she says with a smile. As she goes to hug her, Aniston hesitates and Schwimmer squishes the flowers in her Uber Eats bag.

“Have we met?” she asks her longtime friend.

Later in the clip, she asks him, “Give me some advice.” Clearly taken aback, Schwimmer says, “Well, we worked together for ten years.”

“Ten years? You were great,” she replies, pretending to remember him.

Acknowledging his forgetfulness, Schwimmer says, “You still don’t know, do you?” Aniston admits she’s right. As she walks away with her bag of candy, she scoffs, “It’s like I forgot ten years of my life.” Staring at Aniston, a defeated Schwimmer says, “I hate this town.”

The ad also features a number of people who forget simple things, such as David and Victoria Beckham. (The couple starred in Uber Eats’ Super Bowl teaser, in which they “forgot” Aniston’s name.)

During the Super Bowl commercial, David doesn’t mention her iconic Spice Girls name. “Do you remember when you were a pepper lady?” David asks. Victoria replies, “Weren’t those the cinnamon sisters?” Their playful banter includes a few more forgettable responses, including “basil” and “peppers.”

Jelly Roll, who has several facial tattoos, also appears in the ad. In his funny scene, he forgets he ever got ink. “Did someone draw on my face?” he says looking in the mirror in horror. Then he screams, “It’s not coming off!”

The star-studded commercial delivers another cheeky surprise. Usher, who will headline this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, makes a cameo appearance to close the ad. “I hope to play halftime one day, man,” he jokes.

“Whatever you forget, remember that Uber Eats gets the groceries,” reads the brand’s tagline.

A teaser for the ad, released late last month, hinted at the theme of oblivion.

“So David and I are going to be in a little commercial,” Victoria began the clip as she sat on the couch in her “my dad had a Rolls-Royce” t-shirt. David then poked his head into the frame reminding her to “Be fair, be fair!”

“OK. It’s a big commercial,” added Victoria, as David asked her to “tell them what it’s during.”

“David, I’m trying,” Victoria replied.

After further prodding from her husband, Victoria finally told the camera crew that the ad would air during a “big baseball game.”

“A super big baseball game,” David clarified, while the Spice Girls alum asked: “Or was that a hockey bowl?”

“A hockey bowl. Oh, and tell them about Jessica Anniston,” David joked.

“Jessica Anniston will be in it too,” Victoria concluded the teaser, before David declared, “We love Jessica.”

The Uber Eats Super Bowl commercial is set to air during the big game on February 11th. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will face off in Super Bowl LVIII, airing on CBS at 6:30 PM ET.
