Main issues of G7 Japan

Hiroshima, Japan is the venue for the G7 summit in 2023. Hiroshima holds a lot of historical significance as it was the first city to be bombed by a nuclear bomb during World War II. Hiroshima symbolizes the grave danger of atomic weapons, the consequences of wars, and the steps towards world peace.

According to Japanese Prime Minister Kishida, the world is facing an unprecedented crisis due to Russia’s war against Ukraine and the increasing risk of using weapons of mass destruction. The G7 summit in Hiroshima in 2023 will cover the main issues plaguing the world, such as military invasions, any threat with nuclear weapons, as well as attempts to overthrow the international order are of historical importance. As such, Hiroshima was chosen by Japan to demonstrate its commitment to global peace.
