On 15 December 2022, a Nigerian singer Asake was performing at the 02 Brixton Academy. A crowd rush happened there in which Gaby was caught in a crash at a concert in London.

He was hospitalized along with 7 other injured people but he passed away at the age of 23 in the hospital on 19 December 2022.
On 15 December people attempted to force their way inside to watch Asake’s performance. Before dying Gaby, a woman Rebecca Ikumelo died because of being caught in a crush. She was 21 years old.
On Monday, Metropolitan police’s chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove said,
“It is devastating news that a second person has lost their life following the events on Thursday.”
“I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to Gaby’s family at this unimaginably difficult time.”
Gaby was born and grew up in London in 1999 but his family details are yet to be updated. His nationality was British and his ethnicity was White. He was in a relationship with Phoebie Turley who paid tribute to him by a Facebook post,
“My absolute world. I love you with my entire heart and soul”
