I was among the top three in the Miss India Female competition. The organizers decided that I should represent India in Miss United Continental 2014. This is the first time the pageant has gone international. I receive regular training from various experts and professionals. I did two hours of Pilates training under Sameer Purohit and followed a strict diet – I had to eat every two hours to improve my metabolism. I was trained on ramp walking by Alesia Raut, wording training by Sabira Merchant, smiling techniques by Sandesh Mayekar and many more. National pageants first require you to perfect your walk and speech, but international pageants are much more demanding. International competitors are more confident and capable. Luckily, I don’t have weight or body issues, but I still need to work on my diction, gait, and improve my communication skills. “

Two days ago, I was in a traffic jam on my way to an event in Mumbai and saw an ambulance carrying seriously ill patients trying to find a way out. I saw that no one was willing to make way for the ambulance and that disturbed me. What happened to humanity? Human life has no value. Additionally, I am troubled by the negative attitudes toward rape victims. Why do we want to know what the victim was wearing or who she was with? Can’t we look at this inhumane behavior and try to find a solution? No one can be raped if they dress a certain way. A low skirt or bright lipstick does not invite rape. “
- According to Nicole, feminism means,
Feminism is important; it is the need of the hour. During my time at the pageant, I realized there were a lot of working women who had yet to make a mark. In my hometown Goa, not many young girls are encouraged to pursue a career in modeling. Some of them personally thanked me for setting an example and inspiring them. “
